So, took car to garage.
The self leveling system works fine, apparently the reflector xenon headlights level only when there are passengers or fully loaded, they do not click up and down when the engine starts.
Secondly, the headlight pattern didn't exist due to previous owner putting in the wrong bulbs.
The bulbs fitted were D1S bulbs and the correct bulbs should have been D2R.
Replaced them with 6000k pure white Xenon and they perform and look great, especially as I have 5000k full beam lights and now have LED side lights.
Just need to upgrade fog lights, then number plate, puddle lights and interior lights to LED's.

Be aware the the exterior lamps on your vehicle are not type approved for LED usage and thus fitting LEDs is not permitted. Valud for nearly every country in the world.

In my country this is noticed and checked by police and tickets are issued and you are forced to reinstate the vehicle to using proper approved bulbs.

The above is quite correct but in the UK the police & DVSA aren't interested unless you change the colour or obscure them etc.

There's no issue changing the puddle lights, interior lights or fog lights (front) as they are not part of the statutory vehicle lighting system. However front fog lights are now a testable item on the MOT so you may have issues there.

If you change the rear side lights you might get an error on the dash as they are monitored as part of the bulb warning system.
