Default Clutch issues 2012 XC60

Evening all, just been driving down the coast road in my town, driving along, put it in 4th from 3rd, and around 2250-2500rpm the revs increase by say 250-300 rpm, I suspect the clutch is toast? Pretty confident that’s the case, just wanted a second opinion. So new clutch, is Volvo best is is an after market one just as good, also do I need to do the flywheel at the same time or not?
TIA.

Which engine & how many miles?

These have a Dual Mass Flywheel which almost certainly need replacing as well.

I've had an issue under load the revs go up around 5-700revs and then drop back down! Mines just on 60k I had it remapped and clutched slipped straight away so had map removed and has only intermittently done this random slip ever since! It's gone in today for a new 3 piece clutch and have the flywheel checked at same time! I've gone for an LUK kit...

Well mine is finally apart and found issue that's been causing intermittent slip, dual mass has overheated and leaked grease into box and onto clutch plate causing slip until it burns off! This is the outcome of having a remap at a place in Mansfield that caused it to slip within 2miles of having map done, hence why map no longer on car! I'd advise on speaking with dealer for cost of dual mass S ended up being cheaper than any of the factors prices by a long way!

I’ve been quoted today £1080 for a full clutch kit, Slave cylinder and DMF, with 6 hours labour at my local independent garage.

Thats a very similar price to what I paid in May at my indy for exactly the same work. Same spec vehicle as well. Work was done at approx 120k miles so should see the vehicle out.
