Petrol Price Photos - How much are you getting charged?
Just filled up this morning with 67.54litres of unleaded (Not Super Unleaded).
Had I gone the whole hog and filled up to the 73l mark, providing there wasn't a shred of an oz. fuel left in the tank, it would equate to €116.73c at current prices.... Not totally surprised by the amount but even still, over the next few months we are bound to see an insideous increase in pricing (5 petrol stations I've been too these last 4 weeks have confirmed what I think everyone suspects) -furtherment of price rises to hit the €2.00 mark in the eurozone, not by the end of the year though, rather by end of the summer (due to holiday time....) When that time arises, it will basically cost €146.00 yoyos' to fill a 73litre Volvo 850 Tank. Fun times ahead.... Place of Purchase: Mullens Spar, Bundoran Road, County Sligo, Ireland. Time and Date: 08:38am, 24 Feb 2012. Price per Litre (€) @ €1.599c/L Post your Photos showing cost of Full Tanks only as it'll be handy to track what it is costing each person on fuel... Petrol / Diesel. Am ruling out LPG in this case as not very many actually use it, and Yes, I know it's cheap in the UK, but not in Ireland... recently saw it for sale at €1.30/l (with the pump attendant stating it was expected to hit €1.50 at some stage too...). Cheers Bren

I can't remember the last time I filled a car up.
I tend to have half a tank full, with the philosophy of why pay to drag all that extra weight around. One of the UK supermarkets (Morrisons) is currently giving you 15p per litre off if you spend £60 in their store, which would make it worthwhile to brim your tank. However I'm currently saving 30p a litre by running on commercially produced biodiesel (114p a litre as opposed to 144p a litre).

I'm paying 144.9 for diesel in the Henley on Thames area, petrol is 136.9
There is a Morrisons in Reading where the prices are a lot cheaper but I won't use supermarket fuel

I never fill a tank right up. It's just un-necessary weight and living in an urban area I'm rarely more than 10 miles from the nearest petrol station so it's just not worthwhile, unless I find it at stupid cheap money.
Round here unleaded is about 131.9p/l, don't know how much tractor juice is. I saw a photo on another forum a while back that showed one of the rare outlets for good old 4 star leaded, I think it was about 209.9p/litre! |

Local garage petrol is 139.9 per litre.
I usually put in £10.00 and when the garage is charging 1.39.9 I get 7.14ltrs exacty, when he drops to 135.9 I get 7.35 litres exactly. I have a bad habit of throwing tenners in and have never put more than £20.00 in any of my cars.

Being a new (to me) car I wasn't sure how long I could I could play 'fuel light bingo' so I admitted defeat and paid cash for a tenner's worth. It didn't even turn the warning light off.... |

I'm typically paying 141.9 - 143.9/l for diesel. Current monthly spend is £700-£800 per month. Never never did I think I would spend that much on fuel. It's a killer and only going to get worse.
Having had a 2 V70 T5s, I'd love to get another T5 or an R, but I just can't justify moving away from diesel for the daily driver. |
