Default abs light

Hi,

The ABS light on my V70 is constantly on. I've read the codes with an OBD2 reader, and it lists P0573 (Cruise Control/Brake Switch A Circuit High).

I know there are companies that can rebuild the ABS module, but I'm wondering whether the P0573 code can cause the ABS error? Is the failed brake switch the one on the brake booster?

Cheers,
Jan

To reply to myself, I've cleared the P0573 and it hasn't come back. The ABS light is still on however, so they must be unrelated. Next I'll take out the ABS controller, but I'm not sure yet whether I'll open it up myself or ship it somewhere to get it rebuilt.

Sent the controller to ecu-testing.com and put it back in this morning. All lights and messages are gone, and a quick test on a slippery road shows that ABS is working.

Yes, rebuilt for 100+VAT. They're a bit vague on what they actually do, maybe they just resoldered the joints, but I wasn't keen on opening the case myself and glueing it back together again. In any case they fixed the problem and give a 2 year warranty.
