First of the year?
Spotted yesterday at about 13:35 was a dark blue, G-plate 240 saloon - either a GL or a GLT - heading along Cromwell Avenue towards the A57 in Warrington.
It's the first example I've seen in several months and one I haven't seen before.

Warrington - home of the 240?
Another late-model saloon; this time an "H"-plated GL in dark blue, fitted with what appeared to be directional 9-series alloys heading towards Apsley Lane at about 1:30pm today.
That's the second of the year.

245 growing
Spotted today, a K reg. Torlander with a a PR in its number ie. Dorset.
It was white but had not been washed in years, there was moss growing on it! It went from Odstock, Salisbury to Downton, and it was'nt hanging arround, very quick. BrianH |

Red K plate 240 estate with bonnet mascot this morning on the road to Colsterworth, under the railway bridge.
Was it you? Can't be too many with a bonnet mascot.

A double today! Silver estate (GL?) on the A623 near Eyam, and a nice red GL saloon on the M5 just north of Strensham services. A friendly wave from both - if you're reading this, know you made my very tedious journey (Sheffield to Somerset without being able to use the closed M1) much cheerier.

Saw a white GL 2.3 estate this afternoon. H reg. In the Annenberg Courtyard of the Royal Academy, Piccadilly, London. It was parked in a corner near to the Royal Astronomical Society.
And in the early evening. A white SE estate with lengthwise roof bars. L reg with the second digit a back to front 3. Parked in St. James's Street, London. Facing downhill on Lobbs side of the road. Between the pedestrian crossing and St James's Palace. EDIT: This must have been opposite Little St James's Street, almost exactly outside Lobb's premises. I do have photographs and registration numbers. I just can't access the photograph files yet. I was on Shank's Pony. . Last edited by Stephen Edwin; Mar 27th, 2018 at 22:20. |
