Which HD rear spring should i get for my 945?
So, my rear end is sagging with loads quite badly which has led to a scrape or two so really need to get some new rear springs.
My choices so far as far as I can tell are: KYB RG5146 (Defined as "reinforced version" in their catalogue) http://kyb-europe.com/catalogue/ ClassicSwede's Cargo springs - Slightly more expensive but I'd rather support Dai as he's always been helpful for me - https://www.classicswede.co.uk/Rear_..._11576801.aspx PartsforVolvos Heavy Duty Rear Springs - http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=3690 Does anyone have any experience with any of them being better or worse than others or is it just going to be 6 of one, half a dozen of the other for all of these? |

And which uprated shocks to go with them?
PartsforVolvo usually pretty good for standard stuff. Contemplating a suspension upgrade myself but without any lowering, would prefer standard or even slightly higher due to roads and tracks I use. Is there a "rally" set up for the 940 Estate? |

There is a rally setup for the 940 estate but its not a common one to be asked for. Stiffer front springs and stiffer longer rears, the ones I had designed and made are for endurance rally where a fair bit of weight is carried. You would need softer ones for gravel events.

I've currently got boge turbo shocks on, I'd have hoped they would be suitable enough for updated springs?
I also wouldn't mind a raise in height, but I don't really want to shell out an unnecessary load of money for custom springs just to gain an inch or two that I probably don't need. So at the moment I'm just looking for a standard height but stiffer springs for heavier loads and towing |

What is a 940 Estate like with HD springs when running with no load?
Overly stiff? Tail happy? Thinking of going HD and B6 Billys at the rear then maybe B6 Billys at the front but worried I make it a bit of a pain when empty. At the moment it is very "chuckable". Or should I just go for B4 Billys at half the cost Last edited by Skyedriver; Jan 6th, 2018 at 23:10. |
