RE: C70 and Roof mounted DVD Screen
I rather suspect that the answer is no, no one has been daft enough...! I did think about it once but then concluded that the screen would get crushed when I put the top down }(
Sorry, I know that's no help but couldn't resist it. Good luck, Simon J |

RE: C70 and Roof mounted DVD Screen
Hi ec965,
I've never tried it yet but may be trying on an 850 soon. I bought one recently (and not one of those nasty crappy poor quality chinese ones either). It's one of those motorised ones too! I've just got to send off my payment at the end of the week and wait for it to arrive before I decide whether or not it will be any good in an 850. If not I'll flog it on I guess. Anyway, to your question - Exactly what problems are you having? I know you say "everything" but can you elaborate a little? Did you receive instructions with the screen? Were you supplied with some sort of mounting bracket? Wiring harness / loom? Connecting to the power should be fairly easy. Just make sure there's an in line fuse if you're connecting directly to the battery. If you can post more details of your problems I may be able to point you in the right direction (or not depending on the question). Have you asked for a quote from a fitter? May be worth doing - may not cost as much as you think. Regards Andy |

RE: C70 and Roof mounted DVD Screen
Think we'll go down the road of the fitter. Don't trust myself not to destroy the electrics and roof lining of my new toy.
The unit is to large to fit on the roll bar so I fear a bracket shall have to be fashioned from some double sided tape, cardboard, a used toilet roll tube and an old egg box. All the connections appear straight forward even to a novice like me. Have it booked in to a local garage to see if they can work their magic so fingers crossed..... Cheers Ewan |
