Reset "SRS Airbag Service Urgent" warning?
Hi all.
My 2002 V70 has the "SRS Airbag Service Urgent" warning message showing. I know why this is; while removing the stereo I turned the ignition to position 2 while the climate control module was unplugged (in order to move the gearstick), and the message popped up instantly. I'm confident there is in fact nothing at all wrong with the SRS / airbag system. I have a generic OBDII reader but using it to reset the fault codes (of which it detects none anyway) doesn't reset this warning. Is there any easy way of getting rid of this message myself or is it a trip to the dealer? Thanks, David |

An Autel EU702 or MD801 will clear it.
Not cheap to buy but you can sell it on for not far what you paid and you'll still be in pocket. A dealer will charge a minimum £100 I reckon.

There may be a forum member near you with the appropriate diagnostic equipment to reset the message. There is a map showing all the members who have diagnostic equipment. Worth checking this out before going to a dealer. Will find the link and post it tomorrow unless somebody beats me to it.
