Default V70 HELP !!!!!!!

1998 v70 2.0. Symptoms as follows. Running perfectly until the traffic lights. Then nothing. (always the worst place to breakdown on traffic lights with 6 lanes of traffic in rush hour!!!!!)
A quick diagnosis of the problem reveals fuel pump working but no spark. Haynes being helpful state that a Volvo diagnostic computer is needed so into the dealer. 3 days later there it sits with no fault codes being shown but still not starting. Any suggestions please.
Cheers Nigel

I would start with the obvious, though you probably already have!! Coil, rotor arm, dizzy cap, leads etc.

The garage found it!!! Flywheel sensor. And this didnt come up on the fault computer????? If you know otherwise please let me know. Thanks for the help Dave. Yes tried the obvious but the V70 wasnt designed to be fixed at the side of the road. Even towing it was a nighmare due to no power brakes and no power steering !! Cheers
