S40 1.8 petrol 1996

Hi, I'm writing this in hope of chance really. My S40 1.8 petrol 1996. The fuel gauge, rev limiter, speedometer, milometer indicators, and rear lights are not working, I have checked fuses but all seems ok. Does anyone know what is the fault as I don't want to get rid of my car as it has been brilliant.

Wrong forum section mate!

Sounds like a connection might have got lost somewhere. Have a look at a wiring diagram for the instument cluster (Haynes manual or something).

check fuse 6 and 7 inside the car fuse box. check connectors to fuse box.

Again, wrong section. Could also be the dreaded "wiring loom" problem where it passes under the radiator it fails. Do a search in the correct forum and you will see about the wiring loom and how to fix it.
