Default Boot Problem - Fuse?

Wotcha - So I've just driven my reasonably new V50 to Portugal and back without a hitch except getting on the return ferry, the boot just would not shut/lock. Is it fused? I have looked in the manual and I cannot see that it is, although the other doors are. Have seen on here that it can be the microswitch. Do not want a bill having just got back from holiday broke! Any ideas? Many thanks.

I have a 2010 S40 2.0D r-Design that has had a recurring fault with the boot failing to close and latch. after thinking that it was an electrical fault took it back to the dealer. It turns out it is the latch pin that comes loose and mis aligns causing the boot to not latch. The first time it happened they realigned it and that sorted it for a few months. Then it happened again and they replaced the latch pin assembly and refitted with plenty of loctite. Has not failed since

Thanks, Buckers. Good to be able to go to the dealership armed with some knowledge!
