Default V50 Remote key fob

Hi

Was out today and came to unlock the car and the remote wouldn't work at all, so I used the key blade to open the door. I put the key in the ignition and it started ok.
When I got home the remote worked ok and I tried it several times...all back to normal! Weird
Two questions. Firstly, should the alarm have gone off when opening with the key blade?
Lastly, has anyone else had this? It had a new battery in the remote a short while back so that's ok.
I haven't bothered trying the spare as all is now working. Just wondered what's going on!

Thanks

Perhaps the remote did work (thus disabling the alarm) but just didn't open the doors??

This would explain why the alarm didn't go off when the key blade was used??

It should work after a few seconds (I think the magical number was 30 seconds).

If you put the key into the ignition, then it will not trigger the alarm...

As soon as I opened it with the key blade, I put the key in the ignition PDQ much less than 30 secs. That might explain it, thanks!

You could have been parked near a radio transmitter , or internet router , This is becoming a more common problem these days .

It did cross my mind as you hear stories about this sort of thing. I wondered if alarms or cctv may also do it? Thank you Clan.
