Default Brake fluid level sensor

Hi all. Would anybody know if the sensor inside the brake fluid reservoir can be replaced or cleaned? I had a look at VIDA but maybe I am looking wrong cos I can't find an answer. Mine has been playing up ever since I overfilled it slightly after the clutch replacement and it's chucking an odd warning despite the level now being correct, usually right after the start up but then it clears. Anybody had this before?

Exclamation brake warning

hi, check by disconnecting the sensor to make sure that its at fault, if its is you can get a replacement,if not then you have a fault somewhere else in the brakeing system, pads or hand brake ,good luck.

Erm... The warning message is: brake fluid low, stop safely. According to VIDA there are only to possible causes for this message, low brake fluid level or faulty or loose sensor/wiring fault. Pads are nice and fat, handbrake was adjusted not long ago and the only thing that was recently done was a clutch change and bleeding of the clutch system. I checked the braking system last night, live read outs are all in spec, all the sensors, switches and relays working. All points to the sensor and all I need to know if I can get the basta*d out on it's own or is it another one of those 'dismantle half of the car for a fifty pence part' jobs.

Just found a detailed description of V50 braking system and it looks like the sensor is an integral part of fluid reservoir. Effin great, another expense...http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/S40MY2005-Brakes.pdf
