Default S60 - Economy falling and Crusie Control fails

Morning all,
for the last couple of weeks the performance on my S60 hasn't been as good, acceleration is slower and there are very small hesitations during acceleration. Fuel economy is down by 10%.
This morning my Cruise Control wouldnt work - was working fine up till this morning and I use it at least once a week so I do know it has been fiunctioning correctly. I have no warning messages on display.

About 3 weeks ago I left my sidelights on at work and flattened the battery (doh!). Got a jumpstart and all seemed ok but now I'm wondering is there a connection here?

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Car is a 52 plate 2.0T SE manual box.

Cheers,
Red.

Cruise might be the throttle or clutch position sensors failing, so cruise won't engage (there's another thread doing the rounds currently about clutch issues where this is mentioned) - they are relatively cheap to replace.

Hesitation might be anything from dodgy air filter, mass air sensor, weak TCS/BCS, cracked/split air tube to the turbo, or an upset turbo. I had an air pressure sensor die on my old VW TDi and that killed the turbo nicely - sod all acceleration!

Get the codes read - that'll highlight the sensors (if at fault) - and the air filter is relatively easy to check (make sure you reseal it nicely) - but I don't think (but might be wrong!) you'll get a code for low turbo pressure (possibly indicating a split tube) - replacing them is only a few quid and some annoying fiddling.

Cruise is working again this evening. I think the car has a leak in one of the hoses for the turbo, I had the big plastic intercooler hose go last year and the symptons are exactly the same. Power in 4th and 5th is well ****e!
As for the cruise issue, well all seems ok for now.
