My bike MOT was due on the 31st March.. I checked on the 30th and it was extended to 30th September. It appears it will update the database on a rolling basis so if yours was due in june then it probably wont show until near its original expiry time.

The rules are having an unfortunate effect on some garages. One I use is allowed to keep open, but not for MoTs. Unsurprisingly, the bread and butter element of failed cars has knocked the turnover right down. There's a real chance that we'll lose a valuable asset if the dip lasts too long.

I picked up the 240 from the garage today after a clutch replacement. It could be said to have been a non-essential journey, but I felt that the workshop needed every penny it could get and paying for the work was the least I could do. And yes, we managed to comply with social distancing guidelines at the same time.

Before the 6 months extension to expiry dates , we were disappearing up our own exhausts , testing , answering phones , taking bookings >>>> And suddenly the word is out about longer test dates & tomorrow I am furloughed until heaven only knows when as the work vanished overnight .

That's the 'law of unintended consequences' coming in to play, whilst the six month extension means people will not be going to a garage and having to worry about social distancing, and they won't be worrying about the MOT when there are pressures all around, the MOT tester has been cut adrift. Seems like a lot of .gov policy at the moment, we want to keep businesses going but keep coming up with new ways to rip their work away.

Hang in there Dingo, try to enjoy the enforced break and hopefully it will work out in the end.

The alternative is that all their customers die instead, which doesn't help them either.

The problem here is 1 car comes in from an infected but not yet showing symptoms customer and the Tester inadvertently spreads it to 20 other cars in the day and those 20 owners spread to their families.

From my experience there are a lot of people who's car interior is far from clean. Some is unavoidable, a lot I'd unessisary. I knew a bloke would blow his nose and then dump the snotty tissue in the door pocket where it joined a host of others untill the pocket overflowed.
