According to VDash:

P2 - (S60 / V70II / XC70II / S80 / XC90)
1/ Purchase some BDM programmer for Motorola MC68386 (cars 1999-2004) or Renesas M32C (cars 2005-2014) chips and make full backup of your CEM and send the BIN file to us. We will add the PIN for your CEM into VDASH and then you can change configuration and remove/add ignition keys and security on MOST

2/ Send your CEM to us and we will do it for you for free (only for the shipping costs).

3/ Find in our map the nearest PRO / Pro Verified dealer: https://d5t5.com/dealers/

Thank You RS3100

I read that on vdash page

option 1 this may be costly and complicated for someone like me

2 to remove CEM is royal pain in the ass and I dont want to send this to Czech
Republic otherwise I will be w/o car for probably 2 weeks

3 I cant find any pro dealer in UK

I was hopping that maybe is possible to get pin with vdash pro w/o removing and sending CEM

AIUI there's absolutely no difference in the software between VDash lite and pro. The "pro" charge just gives some limited support and discounted pricing for chargeable functions. Obviously you need to be a commercial business with a relatively high volume use of the programming or servicing functions to make the pro pricing viable.

CEM PIN decoding where supported through VDash is completely free. It is the functions that the decoding unlocks that are charged for, but it appears that the software can only decode P3 CEMs remotely.

Default VDASH decoding, BSR software?

Hi!
If I decode the CEM with VDASH after that I can USE BSR’s PPC to uplode new software? What does decoding means? Is it last forever? THX

The CEM has a security code that must be presented by software attempting to change any of its programmed settings. The code is stored on Volvo's server and accessed through VIDA as necessary. "Decoding" by VDash is basically a brute force attack, in that (tens of) thousands of possible codes are thrown at it until they find the one that works. But you don't get to see or be given that code. It is stored on the VDash servers against your car's VIN and can only be used to carry out reprogramming or software changes through that software.

So it won't allow you to use a BSR or any other non VDash software/device unless you also use that company's methods to enable programming.
