The next venues are in Banbury and Salford but are fully booked, all slots went very quickly. I seem to have subscribed on two different email addresses and got an invite on both. They have contacted me on the address that I hadn't taken up the offer on saying there will be more events planned around the country. Good luck, it is interesting.

Honestly bar the Porsche Taycan (which is way beyond my means) its the only electric car I like - will certainly be on my shortlist for my next car.

Totally agree with the comments. The Polestar 2 is based on the XC 40 chassis yet if you spec the Xc40 recharge up to the polestar it is about 12K dearer. Where the hell-does that come from. I would rather have an SUV I must agree as getting older I need a vehicle that is higher off the ground., but the polestar does tick a lot of boxes. When they release a 2 wheel drive, which is in the pipeline it’s going to be even cheaper.

But whilst I hear rave reviews from those that have them, I also hear about poor build quality and I cannot stand the interior. So would I buy the best electric car, or a better car that happens to be electric? Probably the latter but would always wish that I could use the supercharger network and had the range of the Model 3... |

And here's my problem - range!
As an example, I head over to Norfolk a number of times thru the winter with the cameras for 3 or 4 days bird photography, staying in the tent - the campsite has no charging points. N Norfolk Council I believe are in the process of installing such points in a number of public car parks, none of which are anywhere near where I go - plus do I want to sit in a car park for however long it takes the car to recharge? I normally have one of those days driving round various bird sites, so low mileage and lot of stop start through the day. And here's the rub - it's around 220 miles from my front door to the N Norfolk coast. I can do the full return journey, with the day tatting around plus visits to the shops etc, on a single tank of fuel. Until such time as the electric/hydrogen/whatever fuelled cars can replicate that range how can I change?

I have no intention of buying either until I have to / there is a great financial incentive to do so (no company car for me).....but I would stand by my point, the Polestar is a better car but the Tesla is a better implementation of electric. But for now petrol or even diesel are my preferred choice, preferably with 6 cylinders or more... |
