Default 850 radio code please help!!!!!!!!!!

hi i have recently bought a 1996 850 estate with a sc 801 stereo and six disc changer. it did not have the radio code with it so rang my local main dealer who gave me a code but it appears to be the wrong one!! i know the stereo works fine as have been holding in number six and turning the stereo on which allows the stereo to work for a short time then turns off and you have to do it again. as you can imagine this gets a little annoying. does anyone have any ideas how i can get the code for it as is starting to get a little tiresome to say the least. thanks in advance phil

Take it out, phone the dealers and give them the serial number, they can often get it from that

Sc 801 unit is eprom based and I can decode for you.

if it has my sticker on it (CENTRAL SERVICES) call me and I might have a record of the code when it was in for repair.

If not you can send for decodong or i can supply yuo with another SC801 for 60.00 with 6 months warranty fully checked.
I have also 8x SC805 for sale fully refurbished with 6 months warranty £150.00

Pm me your serial number and i can find you the code. If you take the radio out you'll find this on a white label usually on top of the radio, or if not it'll be stamped into the side of the unit somewhere. it should be about 15 digits starting with VO
