2010 C30 T5 R-Design Manual whine/whistle

Hey everyone!

Brought the car 3 weeks ago and I've noticed I've got a low volume whistling/whining noise on my C30, only in low revs through 2nd 3rd and some 4th gear! Mostly hear it when driving slowly through town etc.

Car has only done 34k miles and full Volvo service history.

Any ideas what this could be?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated :-)

It's hard to diagnose noises over the internet! It could just be the turbocharger spinning up. I remember in my first turbocharged car that whistle caught me out at first - it always sounded like a siren just starting up in the distance.

if not the above check all your pulleys are ok, a loose or dead pulley can make a wining sound, it can sometimes just be the sound of the belts, I had an old rover where you could hear the belts and it was a wining sound, all was fine, just annoying.
