Default Zorst help

I need a mid box but the book shows a bolted flange at the back box(volvo) - my car has a sleeve and the lads are confused. i do not understand what has been done unless it had a box before. Can anybody point me the right way please? they think cut the flange away and bobs your uncle but are concerned that diameters will be off.

Not sure what you're asking really - are they having issues with finding a box to fit or the pipe?

All the mid box pipes in the book have a flange to the back box (volvo box) but my car has a sleeve and no flange on the back box.
The exhaust guy just want to be sure its worth getting a pipe ordered. He said he would compare the diameter fist, and then, if it will fit, cut the flange off.
Only thing i can think of is, its poss' had a tailpipe at some time. Why cut the flange off? are some 3 and some 4 bolt? or was it rotted. is it common to rot there? I don't know so i learn by asking.

Probably quite likely it rotted in the past, the hanger/connection before my back box is a very rusty thing, gawd knows how it still does it job . It is only pipe at the end of the day, should be easy for the exhaust guys to make something fit, I would trust their judgement.
