C70 S70 V70 Cars: The sound of water sloshing in the bulkhead

Hi all
Ive been reading the threads on the possibilities of why I can hear water sloshing around in the area of the bottom of the windscreen/bulkhead area.
Thing is these threads are from a while ago and I need advice please.
Is s there anyone out there who can help me to identify where I should start and how to go about it please I am rather worried that if I don’t resolve this it is going to cause me a bigger problem in the immediate future.

Take both wiper arms off and remove the black plastic panel below the windscreen. Several screws which are obvious and remove the two drain pipes that hang down in the engine bay. Once the panel is off there are two drain tubes in the bottom of the scuttle - one each side - clean these out and clean the area around. Good idea to check the pollen filter as well. Replace the black plastic panel and clean the two drain tubes that were removed when removing the panel - these block at the bottom of the tube, so need a good clean out. Replace tubes on panel and wiper arms. Note there are four drain tubes in all.

Edit: just noticed you have a '58 plate. You need to post in the correct forum as this deals with V70 upto 1999. Your car will most probably be completely different.

As above - perfect description of what you need to do. I would just add that if the panel has been on long enough for the tubes to block, chances are that the pollen filter will be cruddy too, which will restrict the amount of air coming into the cabin from the heater, so personally I'd budget on replacing the filter while you're in there, well worth doing and often forgotten at service time.

It's possible that your car isn't fitted with a pollen filter (mine wasn't) so it's a good idea to fit one, especially if anyone who travels in the car suffers from hay fever etc. However, you'll have to also buy the black plastic surround that it fits into, I got one without too much trouble.

If this is happening then it's most likely a windscreen bonding issue leading to the build up of water in the bulkhead. Thank you Mr. Ford (Pun intentional)!
