Volvo 740 or 760 2.3 Turbo wanted
Hello, I know it looks desperate that I posted about this a few times. I’d like an older shape 740 or 760 2.3 Turbo, Manual it Auto, saloon or estate. Sorry I can’t PM as I’m a new member, just comment on this thread and I’ll be in touch. Preferably I’d like a car with a little work doing to it, but I’d not I’ll still be interested.
Thanks |

The OP is a genuine buyer, he contacted me about my recent sale and made me a fair and firm offer but was ten minutes too late. Good luck with your search.

Maybe you like mine?
Quote:
She is a pre-facelift model, with 4 speed automatic gearbox, has about 186.000 km, has the 183 hp high output engine (B230ET Turbo+) and in very good and especially original condition, but you may not like that fact that it's a LHD-model and that the previous owner has installed a Vialle LPG installation. The color is blue-green metallic, the car has automatic airconditioning, an electrical open roof, 4 power steered windows (that work well), an original Volvo radio-cassette that is a bit younger than the car (model CR-905 with 4 loudspeakers) and heated front seats. The only thing that stopped working is the cruise control (probably a vacuum tube that caught air due to age but I did not spend the time yet to resolve it). Let me know if you (or somebody else) is interested. Cheers! |

Hello, sorry but I know it seems obvious but I’d want a right hand drive. I know I put on a 760 turbo but I’d prefer a 740 turbo. Thank you anyway and good luck with the sale.
Thanks |

OK, no sweat :-)
But tell me, why do you prefer a 740 Turbo above a 760 Turbo? Aren't they the same, just that a 760 comes with more luxury already installed from the assembly line? |

I like them both but I prefer the 740 turbo styling. I used to have one. I prefer the exterior as it stands out that it’s a turbo with the black grill and no chrome. I like the 760 turbo don’t get me wrong but I’ve always preferred the 740.

Aubergine - I just wondered if you'd be interested in my '89 760T turbo estate? I bought this as my son has now got my 740 estate, but he has now been supplied with a works van so I will now get my 740 back!
The 760 has about 9 months MoT left, has new tyres and apart from needing a clean an unmarked body. As I say, I have barely used it......wish I'd waited until his van was confirmed.... Mail if interested. Paul |

Aubergine - I have sent a PM but as you may not receive it being a new member, my email address is paultill@tesco.net if you want the few pics I have of the car. Needless to say, being somewhat ancient I can't post on here!

I’m still looking for a 740 turbo old shape, can anyone help, I’ve posted about a car I saw earlier in the year, but was too far away and wasn’t worth travelling to Brighton.
