Default XC90 Electric Seat Upgrade

Hi from a newish XC90 owner. I'm trying to upgrade my manual, cloth seats to electric leather ones, but it doesn't seem to be plug and play. Checked all the correct fuses are there (11 in footwell and 3 in dash end). Wondering if anything needs re-programming to recognise the new seat ? It is a 59 reg Active.

Thinking to grab an electric seat from the breakers.
Is it possible to upgrade manual seats to electric seat including auto adjusting mirrors?
Missus and myself using the car now and you know how it is every time when you get in the car and adjust every single time.
Thank you.

Not sure guys, but I think there is a need for dealer programming for all of this to work, esp the MyKey options that link the mirrors and seats, also not sure, but I think the seats need to be from the same phase of car, ie pre-facelift need pre-facelift seats etc, as the connectors for the air-bags, SIPS etc changed at some point, so this may not be as straight forward as you imaging.

Something to think about

What its supposed to do?

I believe MyKey links the Audio settings to your key fobs transponder ID, depending to whom you speak it may also do , seat and mirror position and certain climate control settings ... tbh I think that the mirror and seat may be separate, but are certainly linked to the transponder ID in the key as long as they are in memory on the seat.

Clear as mud .....

Pretty much Truckbus...

The idea is that you have two keys, one for you one for another person.

Once you put the key in the ignition, set the seat and mirrors, then assign those settings to one of the memory buttons it tags those settings to the key.

Do the same with the other key.

Then say your partner gets in with their key, it auto adjusts the settings for them.

I've never been able to actually test it as I only have one key lol. But pressing the corresponding memory button does the same. So the wife is on M3 and I'm on M2. M1 is reserved for the longjourneyandIneedasnoozehalfwayacrossFrance option for both of us... seat back, everything dropped and mirrors angled out and down over (for reflecting headlights from behind down and out as much as possible)

Its 2 different functions in my experience Funky, we have 3 keys and each of the seat memories /mirror position are as you described in memory and linked to a different key The car remembers the settings and links that to the key transponder ID .... (I dont believe the key actually remembers anything.)
The "MyKey" function (button on the dash) is much more audio, and so I'm lead to believe climate control based, in our 6 1/2 years of XC90 ownership we have never got the seat/mirror/audio and climate to work of the same key, however if you push the "MyKey" button the audio settings do change depending on the key used.
