Hey Guys, HELP NEEDED URGENTLY!!!
I have the above vehicle D5AWD that sounds like a bag of hammers, I have had all the injectors refurbished and coil packs replaced but she still sounds like a very old diesel that had noisy tappets(did they have tappits?). Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated as she is with the garage at present and they are not making great headway??
I had a warning light coming up pertaining to the anti-slip service required but knew this was likely to be the clockspring which has been replaced also but still the steering feels like no power steering at all...
Thanks in advance
Trev

There are no coil packs on a D5 engine, or any diesel for that matter.

Find another garage. I'm not trying to be rude, just honest. If you're paying someone for their time to diagnose a fault and you don't believe they can, or they can't show evidence of progress after a reasonable amount of time and/or expense, then find someone else. So many people on this forum have persevered with a particular garage or mechanic out of politeness, or because they are friends, and that doesn't usually end well. Indeed, the garage might be glad for you to take it elsewhere if they know they're out of their depth or genuinely can't find the issue.

Perhaps someone here can recommend a local specialist to you?

Could be your rockers and lifters are worn, I’ve got a 56 plate d5 and it’s tapping a lot, all being well it is having new rockers and lifters in January.
