My 1246 update via USB took 45 mins to install before it told me to turn off the engine for it to finish. Not sure how long the finalising took as I left it overnight before taking the car out again. Upon starting the car there was a message saying that 1246 had installed. No problems with the USB download. I suggest trying the USB download again to see how it goes this time.

Nearly 50GB OTA?

I hope you have a big data allowance.

I download the update overnight to my laptop and then transferred it to a portable 1 TB portable drive. I then used the app to validate the transfer. The transfer to Sensus took about 30 mins. After being switched off I went back 5 mins later and the update was complete.

Western Europe map update is only a little over 2gb.

Yep that's the one, took no time to download. I'm going to download and try the USB again.

USB has been read OK by the car - that didn't happen first time round (now a different USB).

I left it installing - got the message to say that much. Will leave it in and resume install when I go out tomorrow.

Maybe a formatting issue with the original USB?
I used to have that problem in the past, so now I always use the same one and just delete the previous version’s files first.

Could be.

Have now got message in Sensus saying its being installed. Only been out on short journey today though.

Sensus said it was done. Took the USB out, then said it was paused, put it back in then said it was in progress try later????

Drove home from MK with the circle spinning away in the top right and status of installing software. Think it's confused itself or is actually installing something else from somewhere else!!!!

Will give it a few days and if it's not stopped will visit a dealer.

Mine has been doing that for a month or so since the Glympse update failed, its been ‘installing’ it ever since, wheel spinning away.
