Default V40 reverse camera visibility?

My car is 4 months old and around 2-3 months ago I noticed that the reverse camera display visibility is blocked at the lower section of the screen by part of the bumper. I wasn’t aware of it when I collected the car but it is possible it’s always been like this.
I finally popped in to my local dealer who has told me that this is usual on the V40. I’m surprised that the image would be partially obstructed by the car itself - surely that’s not actually the way it’s designed??
I’d really appreciate if anyone has the same model if this could be confirmed ?

It’s a V40, T2, R Design

Thanks very much!

I always thought it was intentional to see the back of the car, most cars with reversing cams are like this aren't they?
