'06 XC90 with fuel supply issue
Hello again to the "collective" on here.
After selling my XC70 earlier this year, I've just taken up the Volvo mantle again! How many fuel pumps does tbe XC90 have and where are they located please? Many thanks in anticipation of incoming pointers & advice. DailyMike.

Hi,
I have a 2007 XC90, 2.4 diesel, D5 engine. It has 1 fuel pump under rear middle passenger seat and 1 injector pump (also known as high pressure fuel pump) right next to engine on right hand side. Cheers

Struggle starting xc90
Hi, do you have anymore info with regards to why it won't start. Only reason I'm asking is because ive had a few issues with the fuel supply on my xc90 over the last couple of years and I decided to replace the high pressure pump but that didn't fix it.
Have you had the injectors of recently? Also you can slacken the nuts on the injector pipes to see whether fuel is getting to the injectors to rule out the high pressure pump because they are pretty bullet proof as I found out after stripping it all down haha. I will await your reply before adding more things to check and overwhelming you with potential issues haha. |
