warranty fixes - 9 months old V90
Last week I took my V90 T8 Inscription in for the repair of a number of issues ranging in severity. I thought i'd list them here and indicate what was done about each issue in case it is of any interest to someone else. Some of the issues are arguably nitpicky however the dealer has taken all of the complaints seriously.
Here's a breakdown of the issues and the response for each issue reported. Issue 1: 360 degree camera, left side intermittently does not work Fix: Software update, should fix issue, time will tell if it did. Issue 2: One of the remote keys does not always work for opening.locking the doors and boot. (for keyless usage) Fix: Software update, should fix issue, time will tell if it did. Issue 3: Car often flashed "software update available" message at startup but does not show anything to actually download... this problem changed from initial service booking to the day i took it in where a map update was perperually "updating" then "complete" Fix: Software update again... we shall see! Issue 4: Rattle coming from rear right door Fix: rattle identified as loose door panel, removed and re-fitted, rattle is gone Issue 5: loud click heard when descending speed bumps at sensible, but not crawling speed Fix: not specifically addressed however click is now gone, perhaps it was related to the above issue Issue 6: Can't set or delete parking climate timers via VOC app. Fix: Software update, working now Issue 7: Condensation inside both headlights Fix: Awaiting response from Volvo before addressing, I will update when I have an answer Issue 8: Vibration initially felt at speed but developed into a definite vibration under braking Fix: Replacement of all 4 brake discs Two quality issues initially reported shortly after delivery which the dealer failed to follow up on at the time: Delivery Issue 1: Scratch on the leather of the steering wheel Fix: New Steering Wheel Delivery Issue 2: Bubble inside the Orrefors crystal gear shiftier Fix: New gear shiftier (3 hours of work to access it and re-build the interior of the car apparently) |

I have this on my V90 CC. I'm not too bothered about it at the moment but once the car is out of warranty I'd be concerned it is caused the until to fail given they are around £1000 a side.

“Issue 8: Vibration initially felt at speed but developed into a definite vibration under braking”
I have the same on my MY2019 V90 Inscription D5. It’s been back once but the garage checked the (front) discs, decided they were OK and returned the car with no other work done apart from a quick vacuum up of the kids biscuit crumbs! This did not resolve the vibration!! Also had some condensation in the headlights but this has gone now. There is another thread about this. Apparently there is something in the manual about it being normal but some guys on here have had new ones under warranty. |

Do LEDs give off much heat. In the past condensation was usually dried up when headlights were on.
