S40 lights
Hi.
I've just bought a S40 1.8 1997. My dayslights are the same as my main lights not very bright? I presume i need to change the bulbs for the main lights? Could anyone help me. I'm 30 this year and this is my 1st Volvo it's great. Thanks |

RE: S40 lights
Day running lights are dipped headlights. The only difference is that you can't switch on main beam or fogs in day-running mode. My wife's headlights were abysmal, dim and yellowish. I replaced them with a set from halfrauds and they're acceptable now. Might cost you a few bob though, they're not cheap.

Thanks for that.
What bulbs did you buy from halfords? I bought some bulbs 2day but haven't opened them yet. |

RE: S40 lights
Can't find the box at the mo. I think they may have been xenon? They were around £9 each and were supposed to give an extremely bright white light. I know they weren't those bulbs that everyone's fitting now despite the fact that to have them you must have self-levelling headlights.
If I can find the box I'll let you know. I remember seeing some others at the same time which were about £18 each, but that's just silly.
