Default Windscreen trim adhesive

The black trim that runs across the top of my windscreen came off. I presume you need some adhesive to make sure it does not re-occur. Can you get this from the likes of Halfords? or is it a generic adhesive I can get anywhere?
Thanks
S

Because the windscreen is a body strengthening element, I'd pop into any branch of a windscreen replacement company and ask either their opinion or their help before buying an adhesive that may cause trouble later.

Some mastic type adhesives shed water when they cure and can cause rust on any steel they are applied to.

My trim also came off some time ago, and was replaced. Although the screen is bonded in place I think that the trim is only held by plastic clips, these may be broken or missing, you should be able to get them at Volvo or a windscreen repairer.
