Unhappy Parrot handsfree and no switched 12V in boot area!!!

I'm installing a Parrot CK3300 in the boot as I have the model with the amp (2006 S40 SE) but can't find a switched positive anywhere. The cigarette socket is permanent 12V and all the positives going into the amp are all permanent too.

I have connected to the rear tail light for now mainly out of pure frustration but I would rather find a better source as I think the voltage is a bit low.

Also does anyone know if there is anyway of muting the radio properly, I have the Parrot loom which disconects the speakers but doesn't actually mute the radio. I'm worried that it may damage the amp if it stays like this.

Can anyone help?

I've installed my Ck3100 up front so I'm using the 12v socket as the switched source. OFr muting

I've gone with the autoleads telemute leads which just switches out the amp input to the speakers and routes the parrot sound to them instead. I think the amp is still driving what it thinks is the main door speakers at this time and it's had no detrimental effect in 6 months.

Only problem I've had is with to much impedance in any extension lead phono sockets so if you have any of those around then I'd scotch connect the wires now whilst the car is apart.

theres a switch + on the opposite side to the amp, it is for the aux cigarette lighter socket, looks like a t shaped connector, good luck, also try looking for the gps receiver supply, think that is switched, that is located below the rear light when you move the carpet and it will usually stretch to by the amp as that is where it mounts too
