Default Pollen Filter

Hi, I have read other quires here about changing the pollen
filter on the S40 and can see that it is a fiddly job, well my
S40 D5 2006 has just had a service how do I know the
filter has been changed if it such a job, is there any way
of seeing if the job has been done, or am I just being paranoid
and should trust the garage.

You can always ask the dealer to give you back the old parts. Doesn't prove that the parts you get back are from your car, but hey you have to start trusting them at some point.
I would ask for parts back when you hand your car over, don't just spring it on them when you pick it up. Other wise you may be disappointed.
