My dad had one of these before I was born, and condition wise that is stunning!

If only I had the room!

That hole in the rear quarter looks a difficult repair to do properly

yeah ,
And there are reasons :: water leaks through the tailgate and runs down into the rear floor , front winscreen leaks run down into the front footwells , water runs down the gap in the top wings , water can run down the bottom part of the A pillars and into the car through the plastic membranes if they become detatched , On the early 3 door , water leaks down the rear pillar vents down on to the rear arches and they rust from inside . Somehow the windscreen lower panel rusts at the outer ends . the sections are waxed but certain places are missed and that is where the corrosion starts . Water gets into the doors and rots the upper part at the bottom of the window .
If you can find one of these immaculate ones , strip it down to the bare shell take the wings off and sort all these problems , otherwise it will disappear back into the ground in 20 - 30 years , One good thing is that it takes that time to cause problems , a wet floor will take over 10 years to produce holes ....

Hi there.

I am the owner of the 360GLT for sale on eBay and I am asuming you must have your wires crossed about a rust hole? My car has cosmetic rust but nothing worse..

I assume you were referring to this car - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-VOLVO...#ht_662wt_1185

Hi there Matt I don't come on here too often and know nothing about this particulare model but your GLT is awesome. It just looks so clean and new looking.
If this is down to you looking after it or bringing it up to scratch then you deserve a very big pat on the back.
I hope it sells for four figures as it truly looks like it should,
Regards Brian.

Cool

Hi all.

Just wanted to say, I had a chat with Matt today (His number's on the ebay ad)

He seems like a nice enough lad, very honest and genuine.

I was interested in doing a deal/swap for my 940, but unfortunately it's too big for his needs.

Such a shame for both parties really, I really like the car, but most of all, I got the impression that Matt really doesn't want to sell it.

But alas, as with ALL young drivers these days, insurance is probably making it so that he can't insure anything but a moped!!

Anyway, I'm rambling.

I wish Matt the best of luck with the sale and hope it goes to a good home, for a good price, because it looks like he's put a lot of work into it.

Unless anyone wants to buy my '97 940 2.3 HPT manual estate, in a pretty rare colour with sports edition grille and spoiler?? Then it can be mine!!

Cheers,

Steve

If someone came to me looking for a 360 today, I'd point them to Matt's car. It's very tidy, and the price is about right, too.

The only slightly downside for me is that being an 86 car, there's no PAS...but that is easily rectified.

I completely agree with Clan - whoever buys it needs to protect their investment with effective rust treatment, or the good condition won't last long They may be good for a 70s design, but they're still a 70s design

cheers

James
