  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Most of the time the tyres are grossly over spec'd on a car. How many times have you seen early S60 D5's on Z, W or Y rated tyres. Yep, you're right. It's quite common to keep two sets of tyres - i.e. summer/winter tyres in some countries, but maybe not for speed ratings.
Personally I'd want the right tyres on the car for the 'potential' of the car. And, as you say, we're prevented from doing any different because of the insurance issue.
