Default Front side marker lights

Hello all

I've just taken ownership of a S40 2.0D SE on a 54 plate - v.happy with her so far. Just a query my drivers side marker light is on and the passenger side is off. Are these lights supposed to be on as part of the daylight running lights or should it be off? I'm hoping 'on' as its easier to replace the bulb in the passenger side than to troubleshoot one that is stuck on! Indicators working fine.

Also, I get a slight rough idle, could this be the DPF doing its thing? Seems to run fine otherwise.

Cheers!

The side marker lights on mine are on all the time so I guess yours probably should be too. Don't know about the diesel rough idle though as I don't have one.

welcome to the forum. So you have a 2.0D. Nice. I would spend some time doing some searches so you will know the sort of things that 'could' go wrong from time to time. Its well documented here.

Safe and fun motoring.

cheers

I'm thinking maybe a bad connection or something - i tried re-seating the bulb yesterday but it didnt work. I'll be keeping my eye on it over the coming days and see what happens, cheers.

I did try a search but couldnt find anything specific - the manual just says how to change the bulb and I wasnt sure whether the side marker lights were part of the indicators (as they are orange) and hence should flash with the indicator!
