Hi Guys,

A few days ago I joined this forum to get some help with selling my dad's car. We are both quite overwhelmed with the amount of advice and assistance that various members have kindly offered us.

My dad now intends to advertise his car on the Car and Classic website but would like to offer it to another enthusiast who will continue to treasure it as he has done for so many years.

Therefore, he would like to give members of this forum an opportunity to make a sensible offer if they are genuinely interested in buying the car.

If anyone is interested, just leave a message below so that arrangements can be made for you to speak with my dad.

Here's the advert:

1965 Volvo Amazon 1800cc 122s 4 door saloon in Pearl white with a red interior, overall a fine example in excellent condition.

80,000 miles and two owners from new.

Current owner purchased the car in 1985.

Garaged throughout it's current ownership and only used in fine weather by a very careful driver.

It has been cherished and thoroughly maintained and has 12 months MOT issued on 29/06/15.

A very regrettable sale of a very 'special' car...

It has served as a wedding car for the owners children, has been shown at several events and provided years of trouble-free motoring.

But, now she needs a new home as the current owner is getting old and poor health sees the car only coming out of the garage to be cleaned.

The car will be supplied with the original handbook, tool kit and side jack.

It was professionally converted to run on unleaded fuel in 1999.

The interior, carpets and upholstery are original and in good condition.

The asking price is £7,500

I wish I could afford a second car! I think if I were you I'd be very tempted to keep it, but that's very presumptious, not knowing your circumstances. It's a lovely, useable classic and I hope it achieves the price.
