CVT woes
It's getting worse! my 340 is still stuck in 'low gear ratio'... the revs just don't drop. I've had it in to my local volvo service agents who are normally very good, apparently they said they've tested all the electrics and the vaccum business and can't find anything wrong with it. They say that it is a problem with the actual gearbox itself, from this I assume they mean something underneath at the back of the car. This car is in beautiful condition has only done 65,000 miles and just passed it's MOT again... I don't want to have to scrap it !!! It's got new brakes, tyres, radiator, every hose under the bonnet, master cylinder among other bits! Anyone any ideas? Maybe somewhere I could purchase a new box or someone who repairs these things and doesn't charge the earth :-( (me really sad)

RE: CVT woes
If you are in Hampshire, nr Fleet , Orlando engineers are specialists in Volvo CVT.Give them a ring.
Could be the vacuum bellows on gearbox is leaking if the high/low microswitch is working. Steve |
