Wishbone Bump stop
Does anyone have a tip for refitting the upper wishbone
Bump stop? I managed to lever it out before painting but can't figure out how it goes back in. Compression? Lubrication? Brute force? Any ideas appreciated... |

Heating rubber mushroom of bump-stop to make it more compliant will help...use hot water...to help mushroom through and onto other side of mount, use lube...silicone or soap, and coax it through hole with the help if a (blunt) pick. Good Hunting! |

Be wary about using silicone on rubber parts - most silicone sprays have oil base propellant.
I find if you need to aid penetration and you want to protect rubber, KY jelly is quite a versatile product.

I used a cord and water. I put the cord around the lip on the rubber stop, threaded the two cord ends through the hole in the arm then pulled the cord until the rubber lip pulled through. This worked for the new and old rubber stops
