This is a very compact ramp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40Vj4aCzzxU
Although our dog is still young, we already trained her to use the ramp.
A ramp is also good for young dogs, jumping out of the boot of a car is stressful for the joints.
Try it yourself and you will understand
The dog has to get used to a ramp, if intersted I can explain how it can be done.

That looks like a good solid ramp, where would you get one in the UK?

Here for example:

It's not cheap, but very solid and stiff. That's important to give the dog the confidence to walk on it.
