Default New Petrol estate with manual transmission

My 2015/6 V60 Polestar has to go soon. 12,000 miles on it. I'm not happy about that, it's not a for sale ad ! We need an estate, but my wife won't consider driving an automatic, more the fool her but I have given up discussions about that. (what she'll do when all cars are electric or hybrid and all automatic who knows).

Without trawling through every manufacturer's website, is there anything out there with a good performance, AWD, petrol engine ? Not Porsche/ Audi etc £70,000 +++. Anything petrol with AWD seems to be automatic. Even the Golf R available as a manual in the hatchback is/ was only available as an auto in the estate version. The new V60 T5/ T5 AWD is only an automatic in the UK I think ?

You'll struggle. Without checking the only two brands that I can think of are BMW and Merc.

I did wonder that but he put it in the must haves so there it is.

P.S. My suggestion was Ford Focus ST estate which comes with a de-tuned Mk3 Focus RS 2.3 litre 4 with 280PS. Manual gerbox but not AWD. He could go for a Mk3 Focus, not an estate RS, Stage 1 map it and get 400PS, AWD, manual gearbox and a HUUUUUUUGE grin, buts that's for another day.

You're going to struggle if you're restricting yourself to very low mileage new/nearly new cars.

However, you could pick up an older a Vauxhall Insignia VXR estate for £10k with 50,000 on the clock:

- 2.8 V6 Turbo
- 320bhp
- AWD
- 6 speed manual

Autotrader Insignia VXR

Virtually everything after about 2012 is auto only.
If you want 4 wd and manual you are looking at full fat 4x4 not SUV.
The reason my next tow car will be a full fat toyota or isusi but defiantly not a Volvo.

Paul.
