Default ‘05 D5 - which auxiliary belt?

Does anyone know the length of the aux belt required for an ‘05 D5? There are two on euro car parts, one is longer and perhaps is for later cars with electro hydraulic steering (not sure when this was introduced)?

Also, changing the belt and tensioner seems pretty straightforward - anyone got any hints and tips?

TiA as always. 👍🏻

Not sure on belt length as i got mine from Volvo last time (check the price with them as they can be competitive or even cheaper).
A tip for when doing it. I use the tor’s drive on the end of my power bar which makes moving it easy but i do need to move the power steering reservoir out the way as the pipe to it partially blocks the movement. It does just unclip. You can use a 4mm or so Allen key to lock the tensioner pulley so that you can remove the power bar and tor’s driver. Make sure you replace both the tensioner and idler pulley when doing this. The idler pulley was cheaper form euro car parts last ime i got one and was made by IPA who make them for Volvo. Not sure on the tensioner.

So I found the belt and tensioner online, but for the life of me trying to get the pulley too, delivered tomorrow (Saturday), was proving to be a challenge...

So I called Volvo in Toon to get a price on the pulley only, but before I did that I got a quote for doing the work.

£130ish. All in. Parts, labour, VAT, the lot (belt, tensioner, pulley all included).

A little bit more than the parts would have cost me alone. But I get to spend Saturday with the family, rather than under the bonnet. Winner!
