I am fairly certain Volvo have never used Champion. They had always been Bosch but some newer models use Denso. Not sure on the very latest stuff but since the 60's Volvo have used Bosch plugs.

I have never managed to get a Volvo engine to run right with Champion but Volvo, Bosch, NGK and Denso have been fine but I have found Volvo (Bosch made) plugs to be better than Bosch ones!

I checked them On the T5 a few weeks back and they do look a bit tired. Was wondering about £55 worth of Volvo ones from PFV, but those Bosch ones on Ebay will be a good saving , great thread.
With all due respect, I hear a lot of stories about fake items littering ebay. If buying either be sure to buy from a reputable seller or buy from a genuine online store.

I recall some time ago someone bought a fake bosch injector, believing it was a genuine and ended up with engine issues.

You are mistaken. Every petrol-engined 850 used Champions. Some engines were specced with either Bosch or Champions, but please observe that all turbo variants used Champion plugs exclusively. Please see the specs taken from my very own 850s owners manual in the pictures below. The same plugs were to my knowledge used in the P80 X70s, as confirmed by the linked owners manual for '98 S/V70s. Furthermore, my local independent specialist kept a stock of varying Champions for 90s Volvos, which also means its plausible other models used Champions too.

Always found stuff like this to be beyond bizarre, almost as if people believe that each plug manufacturer has a separate manufacturing line and a completely different set of tolerances and QCs for each car brand. They're all made on the same line to the same specs and tolerances, any differences you experience will be down to placebo.

Whilst this is a valid point in that there are a plethora of fakes out there, the eBay link in this page were genuine items. The key to eBay, as with anything, is to find a reputable seller.
