Default C30 will only start with brake depressed

Hi my c30 2011 1.6 D2 will only start with both clutch and brake depressed - since yesterday - have had the car 4 years with no starting issues. Once started all seems norma. Any ideas?

It's only a guess, but I'd start by checking the clutch pedal position sensor. It could be that if the ECU doesn't see a clutch sensor attached to it, then it assumes that it's an automatic, and requires the brake pedal to be pressed?
