Stall after one second when starting from cold
I have a 1996 2.5l 10v petrol estate. It has just been serviced by a local non-Volvo garage at 136000 miles. Spark plugs not changed at this service, no problems found.
I have a slight problem that seems to be increasing in regularity. This first started about three months ago. When cold the car starts first time, but then stalls within about 1 second. The second time it fires up perfectly. If I turn on the ignition without trying to start it I can hear the fuel pump for about 6s before it turns off, so this appears ok. Is this most likely to be a fuel pump relay problem or something else? |
