Rear Shock Mounts
Hello again,
Just as I get the front sorted by replacing the link rods, the back end is playing up! I'm getting a banging from the rear near side over bumps and potholes. Going from other postings I suspect the shock mounts are away. Anyone know how difficult / expensive is it to replace these? Cheers... |

RE: Rear Shock Mounts
To check you can lift up the rear carpet and if they are broken you'll be able to see. They only cost about £11 each and should be cheap to fit. I had mine done with a service and can't tell you how much the labour was - not alot though, < 1hr.

RE: Rear Shock Mounts
Dead easily to replace. I paid £14 quid each, and then go home, lift up either side floor panel revealing a bolt each side for the panel behind the rear seat. Undo those, and the panel lifts up, revealing the shocker top mounts. Jack up the car on the side your working on, then undo the Centre nut, and the three outer bolts and off comes the mount. Put the new mount on with the three bolts, then lower the car back onto the center of the shocker and put the nut back on.
