Default Disconnecting battery for a month

Should I disconnect battery on my Volvo if I won't be using it for a month?
Most articles say I should, but I've seen some warnings that this may require some things to be reprogrammed after battery is re-connected?

Maybe dependent on car make (OK Volvo) and model, but if the car and the battery are in good condition I wouldn't even think of it, I've just come away on holiday for a fortnight and left the V70 at home without a second thought and I'm confident it will start first time when I get home. If the battery is failing then perhaps now is a good time to take it out, and put a new one in when you get back, if the car has a parasitic drain that will drain the battery in a month perhaps now is a good time to get that sorted. But other than that I could foresee that taking the battery off for a month would result in all of the clever systems losing any stored data and having to start again from factory default settings.

If it's parked on a driveway you could always connect up a trickle charger if you're concerned about it loosing charge.

Pretty sure they can need a full software reload if left without power for a prolonged period.
With that model, I would maintain a power supply.

if your cig lighter is only live with the ignition on then there are leads to connect straight on your battery---with mine anyway
