S40 (New) Engine 2.0D : - Battery Specification for 2010 s40 D4

Hi all,

Need specifications for a replacement battery for a 2010 volvo s40 D4.

Would check myself but i'm a work and it's at home not starting and i need to order today for delivery tomorrow.

Have been searching the forum all day but can't find a definitive answer and i better do some work

I found last time I needed a battery that Tayna got it completely correct and delivered next day.

This is their suggestion. If you want to shop around, it's a size 110.

But like they say, you should really check it against what's in there first.

I ended up going to motor factors twice for my friends S40 1.8 as battery that "was within spec" actually was 2cm too high for the mount bracket.
Its not only correct maH value and connector orientation - also the actual size of battery that can be an issue. Unless you got confirmation from someone or check the battery yourself, take the "compatibility" advices from website with grain of salt.

Had to replace the original battery in our C70 recently (9 years old

) & the local tyre & brake centre took two attempts to have the correct one delivered. Arrived at 08:30, left at midday
