I'll certainly be extremely interested in the springs, as luck would have it 3 weeks time coincides perfectly with my payday.

Unhappy

Not today, but actually sold the S40!!!
Would have been 8 years in may, since I bought it.
New owner didn't even test drive it, just asked to do the paperwork.
Very happy new owner.

Still in the Volvo fold, but moved up to a V70 2.4 turbo SE.

Will be selling off some parts when I get them out of the loft.

Gary

Likewise, Gary, sold ours last October as gone back to the P80 variety. The S40 was such a reliable motor, save for the usual consumables, I had become bored of it as I had nothing to do except wash it...much to the annoyance of the neighbours

Cleaning it was what I enjoyed most of all.
No need for 2 cars, as I am the only driver in the house.
Means I can concentrate on the 'road yacht' now.

Although these days, sails are not a prerequisite for a yacht. 🤣🤣

I planned on fitting the wiring kit to get the amp and sub in today, however, despite my weather app saying it was 0 and felt like -5, it felt to me more like -12, so I decided not to bother as I didn't fancy dying of exposure lol.

I did however manage to manhandle the front grille off the factory sub in order to unplug it and plug in the direct replacement that came with the car, still only the smaller of the cones actually works, so something else is wrong there, not that I'll need it once I get the 12 inch sub and amp in mind you.

Then I went to get some cash out from town as fancied a pint or 5 at the local a bit later, and I appear to have killed one of the rear 6x9s, listening to take me home by Jess glynne of all things, her voice melts my heart and I'm not even sorry to admit it haha, oh yeah, and on the way past the aforementioned pub after getting money out it was bleeding closed, before 8 on a Saturday night.
