Michelin Pilot Sport 4
http://forums.t5d5.org/topic/34757-m...tial-thoughts/

For the winter's we have as mentioned above the Michelin Cross Climate is a sensible choice and performs very well in the snow, better than you would think. It also works impressively well when its not cold and snowing.

My personal preference is the above, decent performance tyre and a second set of wheels ready to go with winter tyres. The usual 'all season' tyres are just as useless as the ultra high performance stuff when the conditions get to the point of snow and ice.

Brand wise, Michelin have seriously stepped up their game in recent years so anything from them like a Pilot Sport, Primacy, Cross Climate (more of a winter tyre the latter one) is a genuinely good investment.

Avoid economy/budget brands, the low price does not offset the difference in R&D, build quality and performance. If you just want something round and black, anything from the mid-range sector (Falken, Khumo, Hankook etc) to the premiums brands should suffice.
