Default Single unit DVD player not working

Hi

I have a 54 plate T6XC90 - Exec - just bought the beast at auction & the single unit DVD player is not powering up or working at all. It has two integrated screens 1 in each headrest..there was no remote control with the car so doea anyone know - how I can go about fixing it ?
The cabling that supplies the DVD player sits within the fridge compartment and this seems secure and unbroken ...

Any help appreciated

Thanks

You need the remote control to turn it on! Daft I know, but this foxed me too. The first 2 buttons aren't used so the on/off button on the DVD player itself don't actually do anything. Only once you've powered it up with the remote control do the other buttons become active (fwd/rv/play/pause/eject etc).

Did you get the Exec owners manual supplement with info on how to use it?

Not sure where you'd get a remote from - I hesitate to say dealer?! I guess at least they'd know the make/model.

OK thanks - I suspected that might be the case. So obviously I will now try and get a remote for this model !
I might be back with more questions - but thanks for now !

On mine in the rear of the armrest there are a set of manual controls below the slot for the dvds and the one on the left turns it on and off

Default DVD player

It simply needed a remote control - as this powers up the system. That was all that was wrong (but 80 pounds from Volvo - just for a piece of plastic !)

If it was just a piece of plasitc you could use your credit card. Ohh.. you probably did, but in a different way and not how you wanted.

Still think how much cheeper it was than any of the other causes it could have been.

Glad it's working now.
